On January 24, 2025, the GSTN released an advisory urging taxpayers to adopt alternate mechanisms and ensure business continuity for e-Invoice and e-Waybill systems. The advisory highlights the availability of multiple IRPs—including IRIS, Clear, Cygnet, and EY—alongside the existing NIC-IRP 1 & 2, which support cross-portal operations.
Similarly, two e-Waybill portals are in place to offer redundancy. Taxpayers are advised to coordinate with their ERP, GSP, or ASP partners to integrate these backup systems and enable API interoperability, ensuring seamless compliance even during service disruptions.
