ENHANCEMENTS: Introduction of New GST Rate (40%) - A new GST rate of 40% has been added to the Tax Rate Master in the IRIS IRP Production environment. 1.All master data has been updated to include the new rate. 2. The 40% GST rate is now available for use. 3. No additional validations have been introduced as part of this update. 4. All other existing GST rates remain unchanged and available for use. 5.Changes Implemented Across Platforms. The newly introduced 40% GST rate has been incorporated in the following areas of the Production environment:• API • Web Form • Excel Utility • JSON Upload

ENHANCEMENTS: Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) implementation To strengthen account security,MFA setup is now mandatory on the IRP Portal. Upon logging in with your credentials, you will be prompted to register for MFA. Login will not be permitted until MFA registration is successfully completed. Once registered, you will be required to enter an OTP (sent to your mobile and email) each time you log in. After login, you can update your MFA settings via Account > Change Password > Setup MFA Note: You will need to verify your alternate login credentials for changes. This enhancement ensures improved protection of your account and data. All users must complete MFA setup to continue accessing the portal.

ENHANCEMENTS:E-Invoice Reporting Restriction for Taxpayers with AATO ₹10 Cr+ : Effective April 1, 2025, taxpayers with an Aggregate Annual Turnover (AATO) of ₹10 Cr and above must report e-Invoices within 30 days from the invoice date. This rule applies to Invoices, Credit Notes, and Debit Notes. If an e-Invoice is reported beyond the 30-day limit, the system will restrict IRN generation and display an error stating that the invoice cannot be processed due to exceeding the allowed time window. ENHANCEMENTS: Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) implementation - To enhance account security, users will now be required to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on the IRP Portal.A new Register for MFA option is available under Account > Change Password. Users must complete MFA setup to secure their accounts. On login, users who haven’t set up MFA will see a prompt to register, with the option to proceed immediately or do it later. Once MFA is set up, users will need to enter a verification code from their authenticator app each time they log in. A Setup MFA option is also available post-login for users who need to reset their MFA due to device changes or app issues.E-Way Bill Date Validation - If the document date exceeds 180 days from the current date, users will receive an error message and will not be able to generate an e-Way Bill. This update helps maintain data integrity and prevent the use of outdated documents for e-Way Bill generation.

FIXED ISSUES: Pincode-State Mapping Update - Resolved the issue where pin codes starting with 140 were not accepted for Chandigarh in the Pincode-State Mapping. Chandigarh is now correctly mapped to pin codes 140 and 160 (specific numbers, not ranges). ENHANCEMENTS: HSN Codes Updated - As per Notification No. 17/2023-Central Tax (Rate) dated 19-10-2023 and Notification No. 72/2023-Customs (N.T.) dated 30-09-2023, new HSN codes have been introduced. The database has been updated with the new HSN codes in alignment with NIC to ensure seamless processing.

IRIS IRP - Value Added Services Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 25/01/2024

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before subscribing to our Value-Added Services (VAS). By subscribing to and using our VAS, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to our VAS, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not subscribe to or use our VAS.

2. Description of Value-Added Services

Our VAS may include additional features, content, or functionalities that enhance your user experience. The specific details of the VAS will be provided to you upon subscription.

3. Subscription and Fees

a. Subscription: By subscribing to our VAS, you explicitly consent to receiving the services as described.

b. Fees: While the VAS may be currently provided at no additional cost, we reserve the right to introduce subscription fees in the future. You will be notified in advance of any such changes, and your continued use of the VAS after the effective date of the fee changes constitutes your acceptance of the new fees.

4. User Consent

a. Explicit Consent: You expressly consent to receiving the VAS and any associated communications. Your consent is a prerequisite for subscribing to and using the VAS.

b. Revocation of Consent: You may revoke your consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions provided. However, please note that revoking your consent may result in the termination of your access to the VAS.

c. Obligation of Consent: You are responsible for the selection of the VAS services and agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Privacy and Data Usage

a. Data Collection: To provide the VAS, we may collect and process certain information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on the types of information collected, how it is used, and how it is protected. Privacy Policy – IRIS IRP (gst.gov.in). 

b. Third-Party Providers: Some VAS may involve third-party providers. In such cases, your information may be shared with these providers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

c. Data Retention: IRP stores the metadata of users for up to 5 years after the termination of the IRP Agreement

6. Account Deletion

a. Request for Deletion: If you wish to delete your account and terminate your access to the VAS, please contact us

b. Verification: We may require additional verification to process your account deletion request to ensure the security and privacy of your information.

c. Confirmation: Upon successful account deletion, you will receive confirmation of the termination of your access to the VAS.

d. Data Retention: Please note that certain meta data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes even after your account is deleted.

7. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Notice of any changes will be provided to you through the platform or contact information you have provided. Your continued use of the VAS after such notice constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

8. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend the VAS at any time, with or without cause. In the event of termination, you will be notified, and your access to the VAS will be discontinued.

9. Usage Restrictions

Users agree not to misuse the VAS. Misuse includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized access, interference, or attempts to interfere with the proper functioning of the services. 

10. Limitation of Liability

IRIS IRP is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the VAS.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [your jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [your jurisdiction].

  3. Value Added Services
    The platform may introduce additional value-added services in the future, which will be provided at an additional cost. These services will be made available only upon explicit consent from the user. By using or accessing the platform, you agree that any such value-added services may incur charges and will only be activated with your explicit consent.
