Mohan Ramaswamy, Founder and CEO, Rubix Data Sciences said,

"GST electronic invoice or e-invoice is a B2B invoice that is authenticated in real-time by the GST portal (IRP) to enable seamless integration of input tax credits, GST filings, and E-Way billing to facilitate seamless communication between sellers and buyers. Under this system, the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP) issues an identification number against every invoice.

This invoice is transmitted in real-time to both the GST portal and e-way bill portal, eliminating the need for manual data entry while filing GSTR-1 returns as well as generation of part-A of the e-way bills. The entire process happens in the blink of an eye."
